This course must be paid in full when booking.

All of our courses at the Dover Academy are fully accredited with the Beauty Guild.

Age restrictions - you must be over 18 to complete the course and obtain insurance, however you can still attend from the age of 16 with written parental consent and provide a model over the age of 18. You will not be able to gain insurance with the Beauty Guild till 18 years of age.

Description - This course covers the technique for performing a basic pedicure as well as detailing the steps for a luxury spa pedicure. Hand and nail diseases are detailed as well as the correct way to carry out a thorough consultation.

Course Accreditation - Guild of Beauty Therapists

Pre-requisites - GTi Professional Standards course.

This course enables you to carry out luxury pedicure treatments on friends and family, or gain insurance to start your career within the nail industry.

Practical module

If you have already completed the Manicure Course, then pedicure can be added on at a discounted price.

Once full payment of £195 has been received the Dover Academy will register you with The Beauty Guild and you will receive a link from the Beauty Guild to complete the online theory.

Online theory

These are the units to be completed online prior to the practical day at your leisure:

-Introduction, Reception, Consultation and Ventilation

-Anatomy and Physiology

-Contra-indications and contra-actions

-Preparation

-Technique

-Treatment adaptations and aftercare

Upon completion of your theory, you will then attend your training and assessment day.

Now the fun begins!

Practical day at Dover Academy

These following assessments will be required:

-Basic Pedicure

-Spa luxury Pedicure including exfoliation, paraffin wax, and foot mask products and the use of hot booties.

Once the record of assessment is ready to sign off, we will record you as passed with the Guild. You will then be able to access your certificate online, or you can choose to pay a fee of £15.00 to the Guild for a copy in the post.

You will then be able to apply for your insurance with the Beauty Guild.

Course fees:

£150.00 Gel Polish course

£25.00 the Beauty Guild (this cost will be deducted from your insurance).
